How are you doing folx? It’s been one heck of a year (to put it lightly) and we here at Mental Health Lou want to thank you for being part of our community! Whether you are a someone who reached out to us for referrals/resources, a contributor to our blog/ask us anything/wellness summit, business that’s supported us or simply someone whose visited us on social media, we want to thank you.
Our vision for Mental Health Lou was to be a mental wellness hub for our community. In our first year we’ve worked to create a space connecting to providers to folx looking for info, support and resources. We also became collaborative space for wellness providers to work on projects together and share valuable information with our community. We’ve also had the opportunity to support and highlight the many amazing organizations in Louisville that care for mental wellness every single day.
We’re proud of what we’ve built, and look forward to providing more programs, workshops, events and connections in 2021! Until then, here’s a look back at the past year...

Therapy posts, including finding an LGBTQ+ friendly therapist, is therapy for everyone, what to do if you think your therapist isn’t right for you and how anyone can find a therapist.

Self Care information so that you don’t do self care the wrong way, learn the one thing people can do to make themselves mentally healthy and how creating art can help you through hard times.

Anxiety reducers like 5 strategies to quickly calm your anxiety and how your thoughts can make you more anxious.

Black mental health including stress management techniques for people of color dealing with micro aggressions, how CBT can help us understand BLM and Black girl magic.

Plus, ALL of the videos from our Mental Wellness Summit!
Thank you again for all of your support as we work to provide community resources, education and connection! Want to work with us? Send us an email: amanda@mentalhealthlou.com.
