How can you support mental health locally?

When you donate to The Mental Health Lou Fund, your contribution helps us continue to share mental health resources throughout Louisville - where we have a special focus on underserved areas.

Throughout the year, we give back to our community via public workshops and mental health fairs where people can connect and learn how to support their mental health!

Our Current Programs to Support

Mind, Body Wellness workshops at LFPL

With your support we can bring licensed, mental health professionals to present a month long series of workshops at 6 branch locations, including branches located in West and South West Louisville. These workshops are free and open to the public with the aim to improve emotional self awareness and self care tools.

Current needs: Workshop sponsorships to cover speaker fees.

Free Counseling Services for Low Income Women

Local schools can submit a request to have our Speakers Collective professionals provide a workshop/professional development or training just for them! Our speakers create programs specific to each school's needs, whether it's for students, staff or families!

Current needs include: Covering workshop fees for speakers and cost of materials for the students attending mental health fairs.

Neighborhood Mental Wellness Fairs

Partnering with local businesses, we bring wellness providers out into the community to connect them to resources so local they're in the neighborhood! These events are hands on and interactive, with mini workshops, often including arts, yoga, bodywork and music.

Current needs: Sponsors and Community Partners looking to host a mini mental health fair at their business!

MindFest Louisville Contributers

We support those creating and hosting Mindfest Louisville. This is a free community mind strengthening event infused with music, food, entertainment, art, yoga, vendors, panel discussions, and more.

Current needs include: Funding, vendors and day of volunteers.

School outreach programs

Local schools can submit a request to have our Speakers Collective professionals provide a workshop/professional development or training just for them! Our speakers create programs specific to each school's needs, whether it's for students, staff or families!

Current needs include: Covering workshop fees for speakers and cost of materials for the students attending mental health fairs.
